“The Universe rewards action, not thought.”

Balancing the day-to-day client demands and running a business while also planning for the future is no small feat. It’s not easy to implement big changes when your focus is consistently brought back to the now – the phone ringing, email ping, knock at the door.

In an ever-changing legal landscape, we know the importance of change, innovation and being on the front-foot. There’s no shortage of great ideas, but planning is not doing. Implementing is the hard bit.

Considerate and creative thinking, reflection and good planning often precede successful outcomes, but unless you take action, not much will change. Sooner or later you need to draw a line under the thinking and planning and switch to “doing”.

Many people are afraid to take the first step. Perhaps the journey seems overwhelming, the goal seems far away or the path isn’t clear. But taking action is the one thing that separates the leaders from everyone else – they achieved their goals because they stopped thinking and started doing.

It doesn’t matter if you can’t see the path clearly, what matters more is taking the first step.
